* On May 29, a McKay's
Bunting hybrid was seen on St. Paul--the guess is that it's about 3/4 McKay's and about 1/4 Snow Bunting. Until June
2nd, I whimsically "counted" it as 3/4 of a bird species, but now it's for real! Incidentally, the St.
Paul bird is now thought by at least some experts as actually having been a McKay's bunting too!

No, in spite of two herculean efforts, we did NOT see the Himalayan Snowcock in Nevada until later (Aug. 6)
